Mint’s ’67 Mercedes-Benz 230S Rally Update
It has been a long time but we finally got the basics done and completed some important updates. We’ve upgraded the electrical system to handle all of the rally lights and gauges, rebuilt the braking system and fuel system, performed a stage-1 exhaust modification and a bunch of other things. Oh, I forgot about Koni Shocks set on medium, Bilstein steering damper, new bushing and king pins. While we were waiting for the fuel tank to cure, we rebuilt, the Becker Grand Prix, repaired the clock and refinished the wood dash. Now we are off to Roger’s Racing in Roxbury, Connecticut for rally equipment fabrication. John Rogers restored a W154 M-B Grand Prix Car referred to as Wagen 7 for collector/racer Joel Finn. So The Colonel is in good hands.
