Welcome Everywhere: ’35 MG PB

MG PB

None of the MG product line could be considered luxurious, the PB Midgets were the most spartan of them all. The sales literature of the time advertised “Over one hundred new and improved features” over the preceding J-Type, but few of those features had anything to do with comfort. The idea was to build the minimum sporting car that was affordable. And they were cute, but with 36 horsepower and a crash 4-speed, they were anything but fast. The PBs were tiny little things. They were designed for a much smaller person than is normal today. This wonderful PB, VIN # PB0260, was made into a fantastic road car. MG PBThe seller retains the Factory Build Sheet stating this was a British Racing Green with green interior from new. These PB’s were never delivered with the optional factory Supercharger, but this Shorrock Supercharger was installed by the factory early on in its life. And that factory supercharger makes all the difference in valuation. The original 939cc SOHC motor and many other components have been attended to. Its green coachwork is painted to a high quality a few years back. It has freshly painted wires on a new Firestone 4.50-19 tires. This body style is the sportiest version available in 1935. This diminutive racer has lots going for it from the color, interior, beautiful dash and most important a factory supplied supercharger. Available for $75,000 at Motoring Investments.
