Respect: ’72 Lancia Fulvia

Talk about living in the shadows! The Lancia Fulvia has long been overlooked by enthusiasts in favor of Alfa Romeos. Sure, other Lancias have found a loyal following like the Aurelia B20GT and the Spider with valuations going through the roof. Only recently has the Fulvia found some love. It should because this is one jewel of an automobile. Italian car aficionados who like Alfas now have a ton of respect for the Lancia Fulvia. The engineering and build quality is measurably better than most Alfas. And as an Alfa owner, we would heartily agree. These Fulvias make terrific rally and event cars because they were terrific rally and event cars in their day. The front wheel drive layout gave them a distinct advantage in handling particularly in the messy stages. Today’s offering is an Italian import that founds it way to Texas in the care of elderly owners. The current owner/seller has gone through the car and revived it into a reliable driver. The body is said to be rust free. The interior looks decent in the photos but not original. The door panels might not be original either but you can get to that when you want as it doesn’t prevent you from enjoying the peppy 1300cc narrow V-4 engine.
