It is ours: ’93 Toyota Land Cruiser
These trucks are extremely popular and almost impossible to kill. We’ve posted it here because we think like minded car enthusiasts will probably find it interesting. It is probably one of the best FJ80 Cruisers available anywhere. Therefore it fits the criteria for a post on Mint. And since it is ours, we can do what we want. Insert smiley face emoticon here. We are offering for sale our 1993 Land Cruiser in exceptional condition. It is specified with all standard equipment plus the following options:
Alloy Wheels, Premium Stereo w/9 speakers, Differential Lock with ABS, Leather trim package, 3rd seat, Privacy glass, power front seats, and power moon roof. In addition it has a towing receiver hitch, Toyota Vehicle Security System plus Immobilizer and a roof rack. All of these documented from the original window sticker. We’ve added Sirius/XM Sat Radio (by subscription) and a Weathertech Rear Carpet Protector. The 1st owner sold the Cruiser to a Connecticut country gentleman in 1997. The 2nd owner used it sparingly and eventually transferred it to his daughter and son-in-law. They, in turn transferred it back to their father in 2005 where it became a local grocery getter. We were able to convince the owner to sell it to us in 2009. The mileage at the time we purchased it was 69,000 miles. The Cruiser has approximately 104,000 miles today. It has always been garage-kept until this day. We received every piece of documentation and maintenance records with the car since the 2nd owner was in possession. We have continued that policy plus, the spare keys, Owner’s Manual, Radio & Security Manuals go with it. In November 2012, we replaced the tires with a set of Bridgestone Blizzacks. Probably only a few thousand miles on them. We religiously change the oil and perform an inspection at Dowling Toyota every 3,500 miles. We have receipts for almost all of them. The Dark Emerald Pearl paint is original and therefore it has stone chips and a few door dings. One of the fiberglass fender flares was repainted and another has a small scratch in it. The bottom is solid. There is cosmetic surface rust on some of the brackets underneath but that is the extent of the corrosion. The worst corrosion existed on the running boards. We removed them and decided we liked the look without them. The interior is in excellent condition. The leather is soft and only showing some minor patina particularly on the driver’s seat. No cracks, tears, or seam separations. The rear and 3rd seats are near perfect. There is a set of dealer installed ash wood trim and that too is in decent shape. The only area of delaminating is around the center console. The glass is original all around and in good condition. Okay, that’s all the good, so what is wrong with the Cruiser? The CD player doesn’t work that well. We have an iPod adapter anyway. That’s it. The wheels could use a refinishing but they are round and in good, safe condition. There aren’t many Cruisers around so well equipped, well cared for and with such low mileage. Our price is $14,000 and we encourage a Pre-purchase inspection and a test drive.
