Fully Documented: ’57 Mercedes-Benz 190SL
Not too much to say about this offering from a dealer in Rochester, New York. Now Rochester is not a place where you expect to find fabulous cars. The weather is not conducive to preserving automobile sheet metal if used frequently. But this Mercedes-Benz has only 39,000 miles and has been stored most of its life. The sellers don’t say it is a Rochester native – that’s only an assumption on our part. It really doesn’t matter where it came from, it is spectacular as is. The interior is really the place where you can either confirm or be suspicious of low mileage claims. There is little to argue here because the interior looks spectacular. We love the details from the tinted sunvisors to the metal dash and the original Becker Avus radio. Wow. The soft top looks like it has aged to a point where one might want to replace it but it also helps confirm the mileage claim. There isn’t any mention of a hard top which is a pretty common accessory for the 190SL. If it is absent, hard tops crop on the internet every now and then. These elegant roadsters are expensive to repair but once you get them dialed in, they are a reliable touring car and suitable for long distance events or trips to the golf course. If you ever wanted one of these, this is the one to explore in more detail. Read more and obtain contact info by clicking here.
