But we know you are nodding your head yes. You can blame this one on Mint then. How about a 1960 Corvette that was the dealer’s demo for a few months and then sold to Mr. Strothers who kept it for 53 years. Now that is pretty neat but it isn’t the entire story. 1963 Buick Riviera

We are huge fans of the first generation Buick Riviera. This isn’t the first one we have featured but it might be the best. When it was introduced, the design was applauded by everyone and sold well. Even Motor Trend bestowed the prestigious Car of the Year Award to the big Riv. But the most important accolades came from Sergio Pininfarina and Enzo Ferrari. They both thought it was the most beautiful American car ever. Now that’s what I call confirmation that the design was right on. GM’s Bill Mitchell headed up the team that designed it and he is rather modest about his contribution. One of our all time favorites is the Jeep-like FJ-40. They are rough and tumble bulldogs.
