The rarest and most sought after Ford Mustang is the K-code. That is, if you are considering all-out performance your only criteria. The K or Hi-Po for those in the know, is a 289ci solid lifter V-8. But with the K designation, you had restrictions back in the day. No automatic, no A/C and a limited 90-day warranty. Next down on the food chain are the A-code cars. This is configured as 289ci V-8 with a 4-barrel carb pumping out 225hp. This is a great engine and delivers terrific performance in the relatively lightweight Mustang.
