Senator Larry Craig has the wide-stance if we recall correctly. If this was some restored car we would like it but probably not agree to offer it to our readers. But that isn’t the case. This is a 27,000 mile documented, original car. That means nothing is new here. The interior in hot, lipstick red is perfect. The clear steering wheel is scratch and fog-free. And there is room enough for 6 passengers. That means you get to offer 5 friends the unique experience of time travel back to 1966. Tune in the radio and maybe you’ll be lucky and catch a little bit of Percy Sledge’s When a Man Loves a Woman. Or better yet, Tina Turner without Ike. The big 389 ci V-8 can handle the load and power steering, power brakes, although numb, make the entire experience so enjoyable. Even the parts you can’t see are perfectly preserved. There’s a never used bias-ply spare in the trunk and all the manuals and Protecto-plate are in the glove box. So if you want a real summer cruiser, why buy something new?
