Janis Joplin clone: ’65 Porsche 356SC
Janis Joplin loved living large so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Janis would express herself by having a a psychedelic Porsche. Fast-forward to present day – a long time Porsche enthusiast must have grown tired of people not paying attention to his 356SC so he had it wrapped in vinyl simulating the Joplin ride. He named the resulting car Seamor. The idea for Seamor started years ago, when Seamor’s owner saw a photo of Janis Joplin’s 1965 Porsche 356C Cabriolet. Thankfully, underneath the vinyl is a Slate Grey 356SC Coupe with red interior and that is one of our favorite combinations. The car has it’s original engine – a 95 hp SC version. It looks like it has Leitz luggage rack on the back too. Cars like this don’t come to market often and we don’t really know the condition of the factory color under the wrap. Maybe it is worth the risk because an SC Coupe is a great car, wrapped or not. See the eBay auction by clicking here.
