Steel Dash GT: ’67 MGB GT
If you are frequent readers of Mint, you may know that we really like sports cars with roofs. To us, they seem more complete. It’s like the designer is given the opportunity to complete the thought. This ’67 MGB-GT is a good example of what we mean. Whether it be a roadster or a GT, the early steel-dash cars are the cars purists are drawn to. Of course, we agree as it gives the B a perfectly period look.
This particular car, offered by one of our favorite sellers, has just finished a restoration by an experienced MG enthusiast. It doesn’t make sense to go all Pebble Beach on any B, so a driver quality restoration is appropriate and this one looks great in the pictures. We love the dark maroon but we do not believe this is the original color and we don’t think it should be on any of the suspension parts. A little extra time masking would prevent that. The gearbox is in great shape and the engine is said to be fresh and pulls strongly through all four gears. If you think like we do and appreciate a sports car with some practicality, this GT might be one to take a look at. Click here to take you to the website.
