Motorama: ’63 Chevy Biscayne 409 Clone
Remember the Motorama? We do. Detroit fans waited eagerly to see what GM had to offer that model year. Many of the Motorama cars were show cars that rocked our world with visions of bubble-top cars with rocket-shaped bodies and jet aircraft tail fins. What fun. The Chevy Biscayne was named after one of those show cars from the 1955 GM Motorama. It was a low-content car with few frills. Nothing like the Bel Air that people really admired. But the Biscayne, like other early muscle cars, was a great platform for a stealth-like hot rod. Today’s find is a clone of a Biscayne 409 with a Hurst 4-speed shifter. The parts used are all top quality and the execution looks spot on. It does have power steering and brakes so it is going to be very manageable on the road. And you’ll need to be able to handle it ’cause its got 340hp on tap and that’s nothing to sneeze about. Read the details and see more pictures at the eBay auction by clicking here.
