Call out the guards: ’86 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe
The Porsche 911 is a car that celebrates the driving experience. It is not just another pretty face. What other cars do with a blunt instrument, Porsches do with a scalpel. Many people believe that a 911 is the only real supercar/exotic you can drive every day. I guess some may quibble about the term supercar. It actually used to apply to the 911 until the horsepower wars started and now a supercar has like 500hp. But let us get back to the notion of a purebred, air-cooled 911 like this 1986. It is a beautiful example of a modern Porsche. I use the term modern here because early 911s refer to a whole other breed of car. We really like an ’86 Coupe particularly one that is well cared for like today’s find. This one is finished in the enduring color of Guards Red and has some nice options. The seats are not only the optional sport seats but both chairs are power. That is an expensive option and they are welcome. They look in fine condition as well. It has a sunroof, converted A/C, and all of the service records. This 911 has had a significant amount of work done recently at great expense. It would be smart to speak with the technician to make sure nothing was skipped over because of cost. There is a helpful, clean CarFax and relatively low mileage so if you ever wanted to try out the mystic of the 911, this is could be your opportunity. See the listing by clicking here.
