Olive & Cork: ’78 Porsche 911SC Targa
We really like the late ’70s 911SC. They seem to have gotten comfortable with the US legislated baby-bumpers and they ran pretty well. They aren’t rare but finding one in original condition and well-cared for isn’t easy. We came across this absolutely stunning Targa and wanted to whip out a checkbook because we like all things green – particularly Porsches. The 2nd owner, a physician, has put on only 1400 miles/year in the 25 years he has owned it. Everything about the car says cared for ownership. Nothing appears to have been lost. The original tool kit, owner’s manuals go with it. The interior is in good shape with two unfortunate but understandable cracks on the dash top. Not a deal breaker in our book. Mechanically everything appears to check out according to the seller. So trust and verify or call a Jewel or Jalopy inspector to check. Click here for the eBay auction.
Sweet car indeed. Reminds me of the “Politoys” 1/43 Porsche 911, early 70s model, I have had since, well the early 70s… 🙂 Great departure from the Gaurd’s Red, which along with a great blue they had in that era, would be my choices for one of these. Car looks really clean as well!
