1 of 50: ’89 Porsche 928 GT
We have lots of respect for the Porsche 928. Anytime we see an exceptional one, we like to let you know. They are remarkably fast, stable and comfortable GT cars with Porsche build-quality. The styling is sort of ageless. When you see one on the street it has presence. Today’s offering is remarkable on two fronts. It has 19,000 miles and it is a rare GT package 928. The seller states that only 50 GTs were imported in ’89 and this is the 6th. Not sure how you confirm that or why it is important. The GT is a special version featuring a revised 5.0 liter 330HP V8, sport suspension and all new seven-spoke Club Sport rims. Driver and passenger-side airbags were introduced. The 928 GT is fitted with an electronically controlled limited slip differential from the 959. The GT when new was a whopping $76,000! The seller wants a whopping price too. They have a Buy It Now at $57,000. I guess with only 19,000 miles it could be considered almost new. That makes it pretty special. One of 50, black on black and 19,000 miles? That’s special.
