Good thing it is plastic: ’60 Chevy Corvette
The second owner bought this ‘Vette in 1963 and kept it for 50 years. We don’t know how long it has been sitting, but the seller says it has escaped the ravages of a musty smell. It is all original save for a factory-supplied warranty engine block replaced back in 1963.
Experts can weigh in, but we think that shouldn’t be held against a car if the factory took responsibility for a bad engine. Good question to ponder however. It is powered by a dual-quad 282/270hp with the original carbs supplied at delivery, so that is a good thing. The Corvette has the original white paint and red vinyl interior plus it came with a hardtop and that goes along with the sale. We think it is worth a good long look for a barn-find ‘Vette.
