Italian Scallion: ’74 Vespa 200 Rally
From their inception, Vespa scooters have been known for their painted, pressed steel unibody which combines a complete cowling for the engine, a flat floorboard, and a prominent front fairing into a structural unit. After the Vespa 180’s great success, in 1972 Piaggio presents for the first time the Vespa 200cc. It is an immediate success, and the “Vespa fans” wait months to get one. Well wait no longer, your Vespa 200 Rally is here. This one, in dark scallion green (we made that up so the title made sense), has a rebuilt engine with a slight performance increase. There isn’t much to a Vespa but whatever it has works according to the seller. All it needs is a little body work to be good as new. The asking price is $1700 and that’s a bargain.
