Dad wanted one: ’58 Jaguar XK150
I can vaguely remember my father admiring a Jaguar XK150. We had one of grandpa’s Cadillac cast-offs – a ’53 Coupe de Ville I think. Gramps only bought grey Caddys with white tops for some reason. I’m sure he didn’t mind driving a ’53 Caddy in ’58 after all it was only 5 years old. But just look at a Jaguar XK150. How could you not admire it? I am sure he thought about getting the kids through college and paying off the mortgage, so a Jag was pretty much out the question. If he were still with us, he would like this for a Father’s Day present. Today’s find is a beautiful low-mileage, cosmetically restored car with a known history back to day one when Mr. Axel Jensen took delivery. The seller states that the exterior and interior were refreshed to a high standard. Most of the mechanical components have been attended to in the process. The only area that might prevent it from looking concours ready is the chrome that shows some patina and is probably original. Not inexpensive to do but certainly easier than a full restoration! I like the color combination but it might not appeal to everyone. If you like it you need to visit the eBay auction by clicking here.
