Little Jaguar: ’68 Triumph Spitfire GT6
Triumph hired the Italian design firm Michelotti to design a coupe version of the Spitfire. It was to utilize the standard 4-cylinder engine. Triumph loved the design but it turned out to be too heavy for the 4-pot motor. They shelved it and gave the design to the racing division because it was more aerodynamic than the roadster.
