Plain: ’67 Porsche 912 Coupe
The entry level Porsche is really coming on strong in the collector car hobby. But will it really be an important “collectible”? We think not. What it is is a really neat vintage Porsche that is fun to drive, great to look at and easier to maintain than its 6-cylinder stablemate. This offering is pretty rare because it has only 53,000 miles and is pretty much original. The seller states it’s all original with one repaint. Well, if it has had a repaint, then is it all original? We think not. With 912s it isn’t really so important to have a low mileage example other than the gentle use hopefully results in a beautiful interior. That looks to be the case here. There are a number of fragile items in early 911/912s that are hard to repair like the generous-sized door pockets. We like the Polo Red with black too. But would we pay such a premium – the seller is asking $29,500 – for a repainted 912? We will let the market decide. Click here for the Craigslist ad.
