Representing the ’40s: ’47 Lincoln Continental Coupe
We owe the existence of the Continental to Edsel Ford. Edsel wanted something spiffy so he asked Bob Gregorie to cook something up for him. That was back in 1938. Bob basically customized a Lincoln Zephyr. Sort of a Hot-rod chop and channel treatment. The rear deck was very short and the front hood was very long out of necessity.
