Here’s a Corvette C-3 recap – The Corvette C3 was patterned after the Larry Shinoda’s Mako Shark Concept Car. It was a mid-engine design that excited everyone who saw it. But concept cars are supposed to be pre-cursors of the future. In this case it was, but the mid-engine was ditched in favor of the existing Sting Ray’s layout. Shinoda’s car was sent to Chevrolet Styling, where Harry Haga’s studio adopted it for production. The C3 also adopted the “sugar scoop” roof treatment with vertical back window from a Duntov design. The C3 was accidentally introduced to the motoring public not at some big hoopla reveal at the Detroit Motor Show like this year’s new Sting Ray. Before you go thinking we are crazy and what the heck does a Citroen have to do with a potato, here is the scoop. First, we have done 503 of these and we are running low on creativity. Second, the Citroen, a rather glorious one, is in Boise, Idaho. Idaho is known for their potatoes and Citroens are of course, French. We usually avoid featuring a car with poor photos but there was a charming picture of the owner standing next to it obviously very proud of his DS. This one looks great and we have a good feeling about it. Here’s why.

It is Fawn Beige with Beige interior and the paint and interior haven’t been touched since it left the factory. That’s right – original. It has about 98,000 miles and it does come with almost everything it was born with.
