Supersport: ’89 Porsche Carrera Wide-body “Turbo-look”

1989 Porsche 911 Turbo-look

Porsche made 76,000 3.2 Carreras in Coupe, Cab and Targa. But they didn’t make a lot of Grand Prix White, M491 Option Turbo-look Coupes. The M491 option, officially called the Supersport in some markets, was commonly known as the “Turbo-look”. It was a style that resembled the 930 Turbo with wide wheel arches and the distinctive “tea tray” tail. 1989 Porsche 911 Turbo-look1989 Porsche 911 Turbo-lookIt featured the stiffer turbo suspension and the superior turbo braking system as well as the wider turbo wheels. We came across this one because it is offered by frequent contributor Rick H. at California Porsche. Rick knows his Porsche and he, like us at Mint, loves Turbo-look Coupes. Okay, the pictures aren’t great because Rick just got the car in. We posted it anyway because we wanted you to have a fast crack at it before the world knows. It has a large number of options as listed on the Certificate of Authenticity like Supple Leather, Power Seats, Heated Seats, Sunroof and Limited Slip. It has a bunch of miles at 130,000 but Rick is having his experienced techs embark on freshening the engine with a new top end. When its all done and detailed, it will be spectacular. The asking price is $42,500. Call Rick by clicking here.

  2. Greetings!

Just wanted to make you aware, we are the last owners of this fantastic vehicle! We had the car for 15 years and could not have been more pleased with the performance, style and classic elegance.

Anyone who purchases this vehicle will find it to be a true jewel and show stopper! We wish the future owners many happy years of fantastic driving experiences.
