Unbelievable: ’57 MGA Roadster
They call these MGAs Streamliners because they were the MG model that followed the TF. Anything without wings is considered streamlining in those days. We all like MGAs for their classic good looks and strong, solid performance. Some folks say they perform better than competing Triumphs of the same period. But we won’t weigh-in on that. We titled this featured listing “Unbelievable”. We did that because the seller says it has only 8,976 original miles. If you are interested, you need to verify because we can’t from here. Contact Jewel or Jalopy and have one of their inspectors go have a peek. If it does only have 8,976 miles then it is pretty remarkable. Hopefully it runs well because it has sat around for a very long time. Starting it occasionally doesn’t make a car happy. It can actually make things worse. A deep sleep is better than one interrupted. Albeit it has to be prepared properly for that sleep. The pictures are kind of crappy so there is no way we can say the mileage is possibly correct or probably correct. See more at the eBay auction by clicking here.
Dashboard should be body color, not seat color. (Someone most likely changed the body color to black and left the dash facia go)
Wheels should be painted rather than chrome.
Carburettor should be dual SU’s (not a modern aftermarket Weber)
Steering wheel is aftermarket and could have but not likely been done in period
Exhaust tip is wrong.
I’m not even sure MG offered black as a color on A’s (maybe)
Does anyone still think this could be 8976 real miles?
We were a bit skeptical too hence the title “Unbelievable”. Probably should have had a question mark at the end.
