Last Round (up): ’73 BMW 2002Tii
The BMW 2002Tii is one of those seminal cars that everyone loves. In fact you love the tought of one even if you haven’t had any seat time. It’s called brainwashing. If you are of age, you read the buff books going on and on about how great the 2002 is. And my god, when the Tii came out, you thought the Beatles reunited for one last concert. Does it deserve the accolades? Yup, we guess it does. They built about 330,000 2002 sedans and only 38,000 fuel-injected Tiis. So that makes them more valuable to a collector. But the real value is to the driver These cars have plenty of scoot and the handling, for a 3-box sedan, is reassuring all the way up to the limit. Couple that with room for 4, lots of weekend luggage space and supple ride and you have a car you can enjoy everyday. Today’s featured car isn’t perfect but the needs can be dealt with in a weekend. The A/C might be a little costly to get going again but how nice the package will be if you do. The seller wants $16,500 which is pretty reasonable according to the Sports Car Market Price Guide, particularly since this is the last of the Roundies (round tail lights). A great one is near $40,000! So there’s plenty of room to fix the nits and make a few mods. Click here for the listing.
