All year-round: ’74 Triumph TR6
Almost everyone who likes sports cars likes the Triumph TR6. The Michelotti designed body has aged well and remains quite handsome. They were very successful and sold well here in the states.Today, TR6s are popular recreational sports cars. What we see very frequently are spent TR6s either in red or green that have been treated to a rattle can restoration and presented as fully restored. That is the fate of many high volume sports cars. But that also does not diminish their desirability. You just have to persist until you find the right one. Today’s TR6 is a ’74 with those unfortunate rubber bumpers. But it has a lot going for it. We think the hard top option is one of the best designed tops since the Pagoda. It almost looks better with it on than off. It also has original red paint. Yes, it is not perfect but the originality allows us to see any of the flaws in the body. So it looks pretty straight to us. The interior is original too in a not too often seen tobacco color. It looks good with red. The seller lists numerous maintenance and services performed lately and has all of the records for the car. It is a 2-owner California car too. The eBay presentation is just the kind you want to see. Lots of big pictures, some with great detail. It is also a No Reserve Auction. Click here to go to the Auction.
