Roman Holiday: ’68 Lancia Flavia Coupe
Of all Italian cars, Lancia is probably the most underrated. Not by people who know things, however. Talk to any Italian car mechanic and ask them if they would choose an Alfa over a Lancia and they will tell you the answer straight away. They will say, Alfas may be more fun and more attractive but Lancias are engineered like jewels. There are many really valuable Lancias like the Aurelia Coupe, Spider and Convertible. And then there are the lesser cars like the Fulvia and Flavias. They are kind of cool looking although one can’t say they are gorgeous. But there is something elegant about them. Get in one and you might feel like a movie star in some 60s Roman flick. Today’s featured car is a pretty Flavia Coupe. It is a ’68 and that was pretty much the end of development for the Falvia line. It has a 1.8 liter engine with Kugelfischer Injection System. The seller doesn’t tell us much although they have owned the car since 1975. We surmise they have all of the service records available for scrutiny. If you want something different at the next Italian car meet or long distance tour, this could be a nice car to consider. The asking price is $30,000 and there aren’t many comps out there at that price. Contact the seller by clicking here.
