A Gem: ’73 BMW 3.0 CS
We are entitled to our opinions. We get that. That is why we have a Comments section at the end of each post. So when we say the E 9 Coupes are one of the most beautiful Coupes around, you won’t yell and call us morons. But how could you disagree? A long front hood, elegant cabin and a short rear deck are the hallmarks of a great design. Back in the olden days, you had really fast horses up front and just enough space for the driver and a friend. Nothing has changed much. We rest our case. And it seems the market has finally recognized the value of a good E9 Coupe. Hagerty Valuation Tools has a spike up for really nice examples. You want a nice one of these. They are expensive to get right and parts for the interior and exterior trim are not that easy to find. So if you want one, and you should, get one from someone who knows them really well. Today’s find is just the way you want it. The seller, Mark Starr, is an expert in these and has a great eye for finding solid candidates for sympathetic restoration candidates. We’ve not seen one in Ruby Red Metallic with light tan interior and it is a stunner. This one has been breathed upon with a recently rebuilt set of triple Webers. It has A/C, sunroof, authentic Alpina wheels and steering wheel. It isn’t cosmetically perfect but you don’t want it to be. You don’t want to be afraid of driving the heck out of it. Call Mark at 914 217-4817 and tell him we sent you.
