Fair Alfa: ’72 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000
There are always GTVs for sale, but not many in really decent, honest condition. This silver Coupe, (nice that it isn’t red), looks above average although it has needs. But it might be just the kind of condition you want in an Alfa GTV. This one has been in a long-term relationship since 1979. The seller lists the name of the mechanic that has cared for it and that is a good sign. Lots of work has been done mechanically and the body was treated to $7,000 worth of work some time ago and has some issues. The seller says those issues are not related to rust so it could be fixed without too much trouble. It has a nicely built suspension anchored by a set of 4 Koni shocks. The engine maintains the original SPICA system which we like. It isn’t easy to to get right, but when you do it performs well. And it is original equipment. The seats were redone and the seller has sheepskins on them to keep them looking good. The seller is asking $18,000 and that seems like a fair place to start. Call the mechanic and see what he says. Alfa GTVs are just one of the sweetest rides out there. Don’t miss out on a potentially good one. Click here for the seller’s contact info.
