One Owner: ’65 Pontiac Bonneville
If you grew up in the 60s and had an eye for cars, when one of these Bonnevilles drove by you stopped and gazed at its magnificence. It is a really big car but the proportions seem to work well considering. The car has been in continuous ownership by the man who checked off all of the goodies on the order sheet. And those sheets still exist so we know exactly what the car was born with and how much it costs. Over $400 for A/C was expensive back then but this one has it. It has Wonder Touch steering and brakes, tinted glass, tilt wheel and more. Over $1,200 in accessories fully documented by the original window sticker and the build sheet. All of the documents come with it including the Protecto-plate. It would be just a tad cooler with bucket seats and a console but maybe the original owner had lots of friends or a big family. Or maybe he just liked his sweetie close at hand. An original owner, low mileage Bonneville is a rare car particularly with these options but that doesn’t mean you can get in and drive it right away. We don’t know what it will take to get it roadworthy again but we would guess the purchase price is just the down payment. And it needs a new steering wheel immediately so driving it home might require thick gloves to protect your hands from sharp plastic. Regardless, if you like big American cars or Pontiacs in general, your boat has docked. Click here for the eBay auction.
