Peking survivor: ’33 MG Compressor
There is a lack of detail on the specifics for this interesting MG. We think it is a J2 model and it is said to still have its original compressor. Compressors were more a dealer installed option back in the day with a few different solutions available. We don’t know which one this has but it really doesn’t matter. What does is that the compressor has survived all of these years and is original to the car. The seller states the car completed the last Peking-Paris Enduro Rally but frankly we couldn’t find it on the list of participants. Maybe there are 2 different organizers? It certainly looks like it competed. We found this listed on a Pre-war classic website for 100,000 Euros. That’s a really strong number even for a race car with history. It is for sale in Europe.
