Clean Slate: ’83 Porsche 911SC
You don’t need to have an early 911 (pre-1973) to truly enjoy what it is like to own a special Porsche. That is what is terrific about these cars. They are durable, long-lasting when cared for, and a blast to drive. We are confident that if we said your new company car was a 1983 Chevrolet Caprice you would be pissed. But a 1983 Porsche is a different matter all together. We have owned a few of the early 80’s 911SC Coupes and Targas and we can say without question, that if you get a good one, you will want to drive it everyday. And the great thing about a 911 is that you can. Today’s featured find is a ’83 originally sold by Niello Porsche in California. They are a very large Porsche dealer with a great reputation. The owner of this Slate Blue beauty took impeccable care of it from day one. It looks showroom new from the detailed photos. We like the linen interior and it comes with A/C, cruise control and probably power windows. The Blaupunkt radio is functioning and the tool kit has never been extracted from its plastic bag. We wish we had room for it. Click here for the eBay auction. We’ll be watching this one. The Buy It Now is $41,950 and that’s expensive for a ’83 but this isn’t just any 911SC.
