Last gasp: ’67 Austin-Healey 3000 MKIII
The Big Healeys had a really great run selling well from the early 1950s until the last batch was built in 1967. This is one of those last year cars that feature 2 small directional/running lights under each headlamp. This one isn’t one of those exceptional Kurt Tanner restorations but it does look like a nice, solid driver for $39,995. Now that isn’t chump change by any stretch of the imagination but any unsullied Big Healey is loads of fun to drive. Old English White is such a popular color for cars of this period. It happens to look great on a Big Healey. These are almost always complimented by the black interior and black Everflex convertible top. The interior looks to have the correct waffle pattern in the center section but we can’t tell if the rope is the factory clear or a white piping that works okay. The seller says this is a solid runner with no issues. These big Healeys are pretty robust and can be made utterly dependable if you know what you are doing.
