Clean slate: ’65 Porsche 356C
Here is a really beautiful 356C with a scant 22,000 original miles. It has just returned from a long term storage facility and made road worthy by the current owner and seller. It looks great in the photos and the interior is exceptional in real factory leather. The exterior is a color change to Ivory from Slate Grey. The seller, a Porsche aficionado, thinks the new owner might want to return the car to the original color. We would agree but maybe not right away. It looks too good right now to tie it up for any length of time for purely cosmetic reasons. Besides, to do this correctly it will require almost a complete disassembly of the car because the dash needs to be painted too. Whoever owned it originally must not have liked grey very much. Wonder why they just didn’t buy a different car? It has a replacement engine case with no serial number so a Certificate of Authenticity is of little value save for confirming the color of the interior and any options other when new. The seller is asking $67,000. Add what you think you might spend for paint in the future. Click here for the eBay auction.
