Nicely done: ’61 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe 4-speed
We really like GMs bubbletop cars of the early ’60s. The Pontiac Ventura is probably our favorite followed by the Impala Sport Coupe. This one popped up in a really nice Jewel Blue finish with a nice original material interior. The best part is the 4-speed gearshift with the big round knob on it. It is a real 348ci, 4 barrel, 4-speed car in excellent restored condition. Everything has been attended to during the restoration so it sounds like a turn-key example. No mention of any modifications to bring the brakes and suspension up to date. We would work some magic in those areas so we can take it on a rally or long distance tour. The seller is asking $43,500 and without knowing exactly what version 348ci engine this is we can’t comment on rarity or value. If it is a 305hp version, then this is way ahead of the market.
