Change of circumstance: ’60 Porsche 356B Cabriolet
There aren’t too many ’60s sports cars pumping out 75hp that are worth $150,000 to $180,000. And a few years ago, you might not have thought that a 356B Cabriolet would be one of those cars. But these early Porsches are on fire and there is no letting up in sight. We know a few people who are happy about that. Also know a few who could kick themselves in the butt for selling a few years ago. Today’s featured car lacks detail so a conversation with the seller is paramount. It is pretty stunning, however, and we love the unusual color combination. A huge plus in valuation comes from the factory built removable hard top. These are fairly rare and frankly, if we owned this Cabriolet, we wouldn’t have the roof on very often. Maybe just for shows and Porsche events. Otherwise, it is top down city for the new owners. It was recently treated to a top-level full restoration by an experience Porsche shop. You need to find out who they are and have a conversation if you have any intention to bid. These don’t come around very often so stay sharp if you are in the market for a nice Cabriolet. Click here for the eBay auction.
