SOLD! Black is the new black: ’71 Alfa Romeo GTV
There are few people who will disagree with you if you say the GTV is one of the handsomest Coupes ever. The proportions are near perfect. Many prefer the purity of the early versions referred to as the scalino or stepnose but any version works for us. Today’s featured GTV looks terrific in the photos. We do know that they were available in black however we have not actually seen one in person. We don’t have to tell you how unforgiving black is so we hope the body was prepped properly or you won’t be happy. But it looks like the seller is very detailed oriented so we may be onto something with this one. It has a fresh engine rebuild with Del’Orto carbs. That is a popular modification for owners fed up with the SPICA fuel injection system. The Moma Vegas are very nice too however we might prefer the GTA replica wheels in a silver satin finish. Not a major alteration and just a matter of taste. We also like the long-term ownership period with the seller – 14 years. That means there are documents supporting all the work completed to keep it in this condition. This is a Canadian specification car still residing in Canada. The seller is asking $25,000 and we will venture a guess he will come close to that. Click here to see the listing on the AlfaBB.
