Fuelie: ’60 Chevrolet Corvette
In 1959, good ole Harley Earle tweaked the Corvette’s styling that was originally done by Bob Cadaret. Caderat included the now famous side cove, outside door handles, and roll up windows. Harley Earl added the familiar twin headlight look, and the option list continued to grow with 6 new colors available and an aluminum radiator option on the 270 and 290 HP models. Today’s featured vintage Corvette Fuelie is the big Kahuna 290hp version. Only 759 were produced and SCM rates it as a B-grade collectible with upside potential. Perfect cars are valued at $125,000 at SCM. Hagerty has them a little stronger at $145,000. The seller says this is a fresh restoration and depending on how good it is, this could be a sweet deal at $98,500. We like the understated black with dog-dish wheel covers. If we got a good price, we would try and find a hardtop for it. Now that’s cool. Click here to contact the seller.
