Newer but nice: ’69 Ford F100
Vintage pickup trucks are on a roll right now with no let up in sight. They are neat to look at and some of them are actually quite useable. These older trucks typically find themselves in the country for weekenders to shuffle around doing errands or going to the garden center. Then there is another category of older pickup – the very useable one that is so very cool. These are the trucks with patina and power, usually from a small V8. Our friend Matt deGarmo sent us this one that is fresh in his inventory. It is a very nice, 3-owner truck with a powerful 302 V8 and automatic transmission. Power steering will make this one appealing for weekend or weekday work. The 2-tone paint is mostly original as is the interior. The truck comes with a lot of paperwork including Ford’s Protect-plate. Matt has serviced the truck so it is pretty much a turn-key example. With trucks from the ’50s going for $40 to $50 grand, this one will seem like a bargain at $21,500. Call Matt deGarmo directly at 203.852.1670. That’s here in Connecticut.
