Half Price: ’97 Ferrari 355 Berlinetta
The 355 Berlinetta is so much nicer than the 348 that preceded it. This one is less busy than the other and that, on a Ferrari, is a good thing. The 355 is also the first Ferrari production car to offer the Formula 1 style paddle shifter. Although they do produce lightning quick shifts, we are happy that today’s find has a 6-speed manual. They made about 3,800 6-speed Berlinettas and that is a tribute to how well it was received in the marketplace. These cars fly. The 5 valve/cylinder engine serves up a lot of punch and the gear spacing is right on. The 355 was engineered to be a bit more livable as a daily driver then those that went before. Today’s featured 355 is Ferrari Giallo Modena with 33,000 miles. That’s a nice amount – not too little and not too much. It had a recent service at Auto Turismo Sport so we know it is in good order. This Coupe has it all: Climate Control, ABS, electric windows, Limited Slip, Air Bags and factory magnesium alloy wheels. It is 16 years old so you can expect to see a little shrinkage here and there in the interior and that’s about it. The price is $57,900 and we think that is fair enough to make a phone call.
