Big mouth: ’60 Triumph TR3A
This is another one of those vintage sports cars that we can’t pass up when we spot a potentially nice one. We prefer cars with a little patina and interesting history and this one sort of lacks both. It has a typical story of father and son find TR3A in a garage, take it home and bring it back to life. Then they sell it. Why go through all that trouble and not have intentions to keep it? We guess circumstances may have changed or perhaps it is the work they enjoy more than the ownership experience. In any case it sounds like a lot of work and money was lavished on this one and it looks decent from the photos. We’ll let you read through the laundry list of mechanical bits that have repaired or replaced to try to make this a decent driver. But that doesn’t always result the way things are supposed to. So make sure you have someone verify that it was done properly before wiring the cashola. Actually the seller insists on having an offer presented in person and that does raise our confidence level quite a bit. $21,000 is the asking price and a good place to start.
