Project Scalino: ’67 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT
Clearly, this is not going to be a turnkey Alfa Romeo. You can tell from the photos in the listing that it has issues. But it is a relatively rare Scalino or step nose version and that may make it a candidate for renewal. Or, if you ever wanted to build a GTA clone, this could be the one. From the pictures, it looks like someone may have already attempted to do that because the rear wheel arches have been played with. Of course that could be an indication of a serious rear end shunt making this a little more scary. You don’t know until you have someone go see this one. Hey, maybe it is a real GTA! Not likely, the grill is all wrong. The seller tells us it runs pretty good and that it is a California car. Doesn’t say it came from California. Who knows, it could be from New York originally and moved to California after the rust ate the chassis. Trust but verify. If all of the parts are there and the drivetrain is in fact, good shape, then you will be left with sorting the body and interior. You could spend $20,000 on that alone. Maybe more if there is corrosion. The seller is asking $13,500 so what is the harm in giving him a call. Click here for the listing.
