Bavarian microcar: ’66 Goggomobil TS250
Goggomobils were built by Glas in Bavaria after WW II. They built a sedan, a Coupe like today’s featured car and a Van. The Glas engines ranged from a 250cc, 13hp fuel sipper to a monstrous 392cc, 18hp motor that transformed it into a slightly faster microcar. The Coupes were the darlings of the Goggomobil showroom and they were the most expensive. All you have to do is look at the featured car to know why (really?). Our featured car is pretty rare with only 38,600 miles on it. It is finished in the original grey with a white top and a cheery red interior. The car is very original in that it has a lot of stuff that came with it originally like an emergency kit. That will make you the hit at the next Goggomobil Concours. The seller says there are only 10 of these that remain in running condition in the US. That makes your odds for a trophy finish pretty good. The asking price is $29,000 and Hagerty says that is okay if it is a solid #2 example. Click here to contact the seller.
