Not Hailey’s: ’64 Mercury Comet Station Wagon
Yes, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. A Mercury Comet that is cool enough for Mint. We would love to spend the $11,000 to be able to drive this one to Caffeine & Carburetors in New Canaan, Connecticut. It will steal the show. Well, it might steal the show for a very limited audience but you have to admit it looks pretty neat. It looks like someone installed some Ultra-lightweight Cyclone 427 parts to this lowly wagon and that just transforms it. The painted steelies, blue line tires and of course, a not stock but believable Ford Hi-performance, solid lifter V8 engine. It has a 4-speed, front disc brakes, sway bars and aluminum headers. Driving directions to the Carrera Panamericana are in the glove box. Click here for the eBay auction with the reserve set at $11,000.
I would like to know if this wagon is still available.
It is a cool wagon. We do not know if it is still available but since the post was quite a few months ago, we sincerely doubt it.
Thank you for responding.
