Maybe, maybe not: ’67 Buick GS400 4-speed
We were attracted to this one as soon as it hit our inbox for a number of reasons. It is absolutely the nicest GS400 we have seen in a long time. It also reminds us of our cousin’s Matador Red GS Convertible that her dad gave her back in ’71. It had come in on trade and she fell in love with it. Her dad was a Buick dealer so she got pretty lucky. This one is rare because it is a real Muncie 4-speed car. They built only 422 4-speed convertibles and that is rare in the muscle car world. And this is a serious muscle car with 330hp on tap. It has a 10-bolt rear with positraction to try to keep everything under control. It is also equipped with bucket seats, console and the original AM radio. The nice part about this one is that it is a one owner car. Hopefully that means all of the documents go along to new owners. The asking price of $80,000 sounded pretty outrageous to us initially. So much so we thought we might pass on it. We did some prior auction results research (not too deep) and found similar GS400s back in 2009 selling for well over $50,000. And they didn’t seem to be as nice as this one. So we decided to let the market judge if it isn’t priced right. We still love it because it stands out in the world of Mustangs and GTOs. Click here for the Craigslist listing.
