Nice find: ’59 Porsche 356A Cabriolet
You could probably buy the barn this Porsche was found in. Maybe even a few acres of the property it sat on. These 356A Cabs are soaring in valuation. If someone gets this one at $90 grand (it is at $75,000 at the time of this writing), the finished car will be worth around $220,000! And that’s now. What it will be worth in 5 years is anyones guess. The 356A 1600 is equipped with a fairly potent 88hp motor. The top performing engine, the rare and mighty Carrera GS, is rated at 115hp and those 17 horsepower will cost you another $400,000! It is said to be a rust free example so that is probably better than 90% of the Porsches found in barns. Maybe you’ll get lucky and not have to have much welding done.
