Workhorse: ’67 International Harvetser Pickup
We really love it when someone recognizes that even a lowly IH pickup deserves to be saved. These folks did and by the looks of the photos they have taken, it appears they have done a pretty good job in preserving the originality of it. Let’s face it, we don’t need another perfect nut and bolt restored pickup. What we do need are cool pickups and this is one of them. It is a 1/2 ton, 4X4, single cab with patina everywhere.Again, it is the cool kind of patina, if there is such a thing. The truck was pulled out of a barn and treated to quite a renaissance. The original 348ci engine was blueprinted, new shocks, clutch, and Jagermeister bottle (see listing for explanation). The wheels and bumpers were bead blasted, painted and sealed. It is a 4-speed with hi/lo gear selector, all in great working order. The truck originated in Wyoming and then Utah so it is virtually rust free. The seller is asking a reasonable $9200. We love it. IH pickups are wonderful. I owned a ’71 1110 short box 6-cyl/3-speed 4×4 while I was in college (plowed snow in Boston winters to make a little money) and that was one tough truck. didn’t win may drag races, but I sure never got stuck anywhere, either.
Creatively photographed and beautifully explained. Seller has put all the right energy into this truck and deserves every penny. I’m inspired !
