Certified: ’66 Sunbeam Tiger
Tigers are seriously fun cars to own. They are also an easy car to fake so you need to consider a Tiger that is certified by the Tiger Registry. This Tiger is really nice in a neat period color combination. The paint is 5 years old over a rust free, solid body with factory correct seams. The engine is original to the Tiger however there have been some upgrades here and there under hood. It was rebuilt about 3,000 miles ago along with the transmission and clutch. Some of the modifications can be reversed because the seller has kept the original parts and they go along with the sale. But we wouldn’t be so concerned. The brakes were improved with Mustang II Disc brakes added up front. Why would you go back to weaker brakes? We rarely see a Tiger with the wheels it was born with. Don’t know why but owners tend to bolt on whatever they have hanging around the garage. We would do something different. The Tiger is in Napa, California, a good place to go look at and inspect a car. Any car. The price range is somewhere between $35 and $40,000. The seller is probably looking for more. If it had a hardtop, maybe. Click here for the listing.
