Killer Cab: ’88 Porsche 911 Cabriolet
The Porsche Cabriolet is just a great car. We are partial to the air-cooled cars versus the newer water-cooled cars for a number of reasons. We think reliability is better in this price range. Early water-cooled Porsches were a little troublesome. Little may be an understatement. This one is a 2-wheel drive car in black with tan interior. It has A/C, power everything and cruise control. In other words, it is a modern-day super car with a drop top. The Porsche is in Maine now and has been for 2 years. We can assure you that it has not been shod with Blizzacks and driven to work everyday in rain, slush, hail, ice or snow or whatever hellish weather occurs in Maine. It came originally from Florida so we can assume it is a rust free fair weather car. The Porsche has accumulated 71,000 miles so far and that just isn’t a lot for an air-cooled Porsche. Hopefully the seller has records to support the current condition of the car. It looks great from the photos. The asking price, $31,500, would buy you a new well-equipped Toyota.
