Cared for: ’59 Jaguar XK150 Roadster
Yes, we think the Jaguar XKE is one of the most beautiful cars ever designed. But it had a good set of genes from mother and father. We don’t know anyone who would call an XK150 homely. In fact some might even prefer the classic lines of the Jaguar roadster we have here today. This ’59 XK150 is finished in Carmen Red (we believe) with Black leather interior. It has what may be an astonishing 18,000 original miles although there is no definitive proof. The seller has records going back pretty far that show 12,000 miles at a service but again, that isn’t proof nor is the seller claiming accuracy. What he does say is the physical condition could support the low mileage. So a personal inspection is in order for sure. But it is beautiful, rust and accident free although the engine hood or bonnet was repainted some time ago. The XK150 has been treated to 2 sets of auxiliary driving lights and both are period correct and not reproductions. It has chrome wires and they are probably a recent addition since they weren’t available from the factory this way. This is a no stories car with no immediate needs. We really like the lines of the Roadster versus the more comfortable Dropheads. It is priced at $83,000 and that puts it right at a condition 3 example according to Hagerty. This is way more car than a condition 3 so there is value here. Please contact us directly if you are interested in this Jaguar at (203) 417-6856.
