No Fool’s Gold: ’69 Oldsmobile 4-4-2
The 4-4-2 package was initially available on Oldsmobile’s F-85 and Cutlass trims, for 1968, the 4-4-2 was its own model, in two-door sport coupe, Holiday Hardtop coupe, and convertible body styles. The car benefited from an attractive rounded redesign, and several engine options were offered. Today’s find is a Holiday Hardtop in terrific original condition. It has a documented 49,900 miles mainly because it spent 27 years off the road. Most of the paint is original as is the interior . It isn’t perfect but it drives really well according to the seller. It has scary manual drum brakes all around but the factory Hurst 4-speed floor shifter makes up for that. We would swap out some decent brakes and keep the originals for the next owner. It is a 350hp car with factory A/C. Now that’s a nice package! The exhaust system is new and the rest of the car speaks for itself. The asking price is $21,000 and that is below Hagerty’s condition 3 estimate of $24,900. Potentially a good deal for muscle car enthusiasts. Click here for the listing.
